Enjoyed on tap at the Brewery last night (New Year's Eve) in a clean, clear pint glass. $4.
From the web site: A traditional dry Irish stout just like the classic from Dublin only fresher! Creamy head and a dark, dry roastiness define this classic style. Made with pale malt and roasted barley, this beer is very light-bodied in spite of its color! Served nitrogenated for a creamy cascading head in the tradition of Irish Stouts. Try a Black & Tan (Stout over Pale) or a Black & Razz (Stout over Razz) for something different !!! 5.2% abv 30 IBU's.
A Nice generous creamy head over an appropriately dark body. Nice look.
S Thin smell of maybe some distant dark malt. The smell is appropriately muted as a stout should be.
T Nice, solid stout that is 1. Not flashy 2. Does not take chances with taste. Those were pretty much my thoughts until I had finished the pint and then got a nice deep dark malt aftertaste with just a bit of syrupy stickiness.
M Big head, dark malt but somehow still watery to the feel. An average mouthfeel for a stout.
D Average as it delivers on its promise of a stout but it is not particularly interesting in a way that would interest the drinker to seek it out beyond that delivered promise.
Notes: Really a good example of a basic stout with a nice look, appropriate smell.

On Tap N2 at Willoughby breewing company
a: deep rich brown color, very nice foamy brownish white head, that reduces very slowly to medium lacing
s: hints of roasted malt, toffee, chocolate
t: excellent beer, rich flavor of coffee and choclate with a hint of what appears to be toffee or some nut
M&D: 5.2 % ABV, extremely light to the mouth.
Excellent Beer, def worth a pint!
Cheers!!!
