Got a pint of this last Tuesday during happy hour at the brewery. Served to me in a pint glass/tumbler. This beer is a clear, very dark brown color with a frothy looking tan head about 1/3 inch thick. Settles to a decent surface cover. Aromas of dark chocolate, caramel and a hint of coffee are all present. Tastes like it smells, malty with some dark chocolate and caramel and also hints of coffee. No hops here. Not the best tasting porter I have ever had, but good. Has a smooth and creamy mouthfeel with a full body and moderate carbonation. Easy to drink. A good solid beer, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Very nice looking beer. Dark in color and clear. Has a mild aroma of caramel and chocholate. This was the mildest tasting Porter I have tried. While it is VERY drinkable for a Porter, it left me wanting more. The taste as it enters your mouth is pleasent enough, but there is no kick. It was like having to yawn, but only getting half way. A let down.

I was a bit surprised that this was not already reviewed as it was an excellent beer. The beer arrvied at the table with a nice ehad that persisted as lacing the whoe way to the bottom.
The beer is jet black in color but is still "clear" (i.e. absense of floating sediment). The mouthfeel is best described as silky and it is easy to drink.
Lots of malt taste and plenty of chocolate and coffee in the aftertaste. I would definitely try this one on your visit.
