4 Oz pour on tap into highball glass
A: Dark brown black with a small filmy khaki colored head.
S: Nose is surprisingly muted on this. Getting some bourbon some toffee caramel light licorice.
T: Lots of bourbon shines through toffee, leather, a little oak, vanilla but the rest of the beer is a tad muted.
M: Medium to thinner the bourbon really thins it out but you get some alcohol stick on the end.
O: it's OK lots of bourbon notes but not much of a stout. Really can't tell what you are drinking just that is bourbon. Pretty disappointing beer.

Came off as muddled to me. A fine straight forward barrel-aged stout. Nothing about it was bad or off putting, at the same time there wasn't a standout feature categorically, or was it a standout as a whole. The flavors melded to a point where I could only identify that I was drinking a stout. A little messy and confusing, a shoulder shrugger, but by no means bad. Whereas I'd typically describe flavors like chocolate, caramel, vanilla, leather, etc, in this case I can only say muddy or muddled or perhaps nondescript. A friend present asked me what it was, and I shrugged, and replied a stout. I prefer to be more descriptive, but that is what I've got on this one.
