came home from work and found a four hour old growler in the fridge sitting there just for me.

A: poured a wonder black with a nice thick dark tan head that settled to about half size quickly then slowly worked itself away.

S: dark rich roast like a nice smooth dark coffee with a little dark rye thrown in.

T: nice roasted flavour with a little tang and a nice back up of oats, but a little on the watery side for me. i was hoping for it to have a little bit more body, but this may be due to it being a growler instead of straight off draft.

M: like the taste a little watery for me, but i'm guessing it lost a little by being in the growler.

D: good and easy to drink, although if it had the richness of draft or nitro draft it would be damn easy for me to drink this even faster. works very well for a nice easy quick full flavoured pint.

i would love to have this one on site off draft instead of by growler, too bad i'm not the one that works near the brewery.

Sample at the brewpub: Pours black with a thin and fluffy beige head. Very little lacing. Aroma of malt, grain and some chocolate. Medium-bodied and creamy (just a little thin for a Stout), with chocolate malt and coffee flavors. Hints of vinegar here and there as well. The finish is smooth with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Good enough for an Oatmeal Stout but felt like it was lacking a little in many areas.
