This one just didn't work for me. Pour looked good but aroma was like dirty dishwater. Taste was not much different. It's bold but not in a good way. Watery feel. Not for me but it sounds like i am an outlier. Sorry.

Tap at Small City Taphouse.
Hazy deep yellow with a huge rocky white head that persists forever. Spicy earthy wheat and yeasty esters with a touch of spicy hops to counter. Came off a bit sweet to me.

Real nice and very aggressively hopped wheat ale... Lacks body to some degree, definitely worth grabbing if you see it~

I was caught off guard by this guy...fantastic hefe at 5%. looks thick and unfiltered. creamy eggshell colored head with sticky bubbles layering the glass. smells of rich banana and mild clove. Spicy nose to this. Taste is great at 5%. One of the surprise beers in the flight. creamy rich banana and mild spice notes pull this together. Rich flavors come from the unfiltered wheat. Medium body and mild carbonation make this dance on the tongue quite well.

had on tap at the brew pub, poured into pint glass

a: hazy golden amber color, a bit darker than most hefeweizens I have seen. slight head with decent retetnion, reduces into a light lacing cap.

s: light wheat aroma, slightly floral hop aroma. hint of slight spice and banana from yeast.

t: dominating banana flavor, well done as it is not over the top. slightly spice on the after taste. This is a good Hefe.

m&d: light bodied, well carbonated. Very good session beer.

Cheers!!!

Got a pint of this on tap at the Willoughby Brewing Company yesterday. Served to me in a pint glass/tumbler. The name certainly does not lie. This beer is a hazy, cloudy golden/brown color. The color reminded me a lot of apple cider, only not quite as dark. The head was a good 1/2 inch when drawn before settling to a decent film surface cover with decent lacing. Aromas of wheat, spice, fruit, malt, and a bit of hops are all present. Has a slightly spicy and sweet wheat flavor upfront followed by a bit of clove and banana. Very tasty! Good balance. Has a crisp and frothy mouthfeel. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Easy to drink in the way good beer should be.
