From notes provided at bar:
Taking the lightest beer recipe we had and combining it with over 300 pounds of sweet and tart cherries, gives this beer a nice and light alternative to the many fruit beers served here. On tap for a limited time replacing our "Railway Razz." Get it before it's gone! 4.3% ABV 9 IBU's
Served from tap at Willoughby Brewing Company a few hours ago. Poured into clear pint glass.
A Cherry red, very light body with no visible head whatsoever. It reminded me of Cherry 7-up without the carbonation.
S Of course I smell cherries but it was not only the sweet cherry that I expected. There was also a more earthy, organic, malty smell which I can only describe like this: it is like the stem of cherries, not the cherries themselves.
T Very light cherry, pleasing. There is some malt in there but it is distant. It is also much like the water which makes up most of it.
M Very very thin, maybe the thinnest I have rated.
D Very high since it is so light.
Notes: As the description indicates, this is a temporary replacement for the much heralded but boring "Railway Razz." It is suitable since it is fruity and very thin. I will not order it again but that is because I am not interested in thin fruity beers like this. The brewers were successful in their effort and for that I give it high marks.
