slightly red amber with mild creamy foam head. smell is of malty sweetness and rye. hoppiness is there in the tail end, but not dominant like moonshadow. Flavor is full and rich, plenty of barley presence and rye flavor. Bitterness follows up and plays a great roll here in balancing the whole thing out. Solid beer, feels good and covers the palette well.

A- Pours a deep copper color with a nice foamy off white head. Head has pretty solid retention and leaves some nice layered lacing. Looks great and its really a lot darker than most DIPAs.

S- This beer smells great. Quite a bit of hop going on here a strong amount of citrus, and pine. Hops are front and center, but there is a a bit of a bready caramel malt back bone.

T- This one follows the nose exactly. This brew is great. Hops are huge in this brew, but nothing over the top. Just plain solid.

M- Very slick in body. Medium in body and carbonation.

O- Having no expectations for this brew I was greatly impressed and thought this was an outstanding beer. I hope this crosses my path again.

An unfiltered, Imperial Red Rye IPA! Yum! It's been a while since I saw this bad boy on tap, and it is back for a limited time. This red (think ruby red grapefruit?) IPA is big, and beautiful. The citrusy, piney notes hit you upfront in the nose, and the flavor delivers. You get a punch of hops, and a sweet malt balance, with a subtle hint of rye in the background. You MUST try this if you can find it!
