(Served in an American pint glass)
A- This beer has a crystal clear light brown body that is very transparent. There is a thin light tan head that fades soon after the pour. There is a slow carbonation of big bubbles that rise to the surface.
S- The smell of dark malt has a light molasses sweetness with a hint of dark cherries and more caramel notes coming through as it warms. There is a soft note of prunes in the cherry note but they are both very faint.
T- The taste of thin dark malt has a sweetness that taste a bit like molasses with a hint of dry wood. There is a faint rye sour bite and it is overpowered by a faint nougat note. The finish is mostly malt that hangs on but it is pretty dry. Although it sounds complex in flavor it is really very thin with soft note of everything I have described.
M- This beer has a light mouthfeel that is a bit watery and dry at the finish.
D- I would describe this beer as a Kvass. The only Kvasses that I have had are really soda pops this taste like a bigger version. There is some nice complexity but it is still a light lager making it a very smooth refreshing dark lager.
