This is a very handsome shade of red amber with plenty of foam in the Orval chalice. Nice aroma of roasted malt. Warm and malty with a dose of sweetness. Modest scratch of hops with a little astringency in the aftertaste. Tastes of bread, caramel, sugar cookies, and a bit of bitter leafy greens. Overall this is highly drinkable and a better than average Amber Ale. From the 16 oz can purchased at Wild Roots Market in Felton. Dated 02/14/24.
