Hmmm, fresh hops. Sure, it's a style that doesn't jump at me, but I'll take the plunge this time. Served on-tap at the source itself, on to the beer:
Nearly black colored with cola hues. Not much head was formed on the pour, and not much cream remains on top through time. There's a good cocoa and hemp aroma that stirs things, but the maltiness really shines more in the taste. A tasty fudge and cocoa combination lay the base for the hops to paint themsleves. Hemp and woody floral notes break the sweet duo without destroying it. Quite bitter and raw overall despite the sweetness. Still, it works. It's a medium full bodied beer, which is even a little chewy in the mouth.
It's a little raw, but still one delicious India Dark Ale. Get a pour before it's gone!
