Served with a smart cap of head that trailed soft sheet lacing, Ranch House has an intriguing taste platform with echoes of the house yeast strain and a light vanilla-almond flavor. Its spiced malt aroma and taste are at once puzzling and captivating, with dark, caramel maltiness, and a distant hint of peat. Bittering closes the deal, but the hops eagerly let the malts carry the day.
Ranch House is dark garnet color though not especially red. It is both full-bodied, yet slightly terse in the mouth.
