Pours more of a chestnut brown than the typical darker color of a porter with a thin light beige head atop.Chocolate really stands out in the nose along with a little roasted nuttiness and some faint heat is detected, smells rich.Full on chocolate upfront on the palate along with some caramel malt, not heavily roasted but there is some roast, the chilies give off a light burn in the back end and down the throat. This is a damn fine chili porter, tastes like a chocolate covered chili...dipped in coffee...rolled in nuts.
