Had on draft at the brewery... Color and body are great, but I'm looking for more rye spicieness out of a rye. A decent rye but not one that I'd go to if I had other options.

Bottled 4/22/15.Pours into an imperial nonic a deep brass color with a sticky slight off white head atop.Toasted grain and lightly sweet bread dough in the nose along with light herbal hops,a note of spicy rye shows thru as it warms.Crisp toasted and nutty notes up front on the palate with biscuit malts playing a role melding into some light caramel sweetness,a good smack of herbal and earthy hops to go along with some spicy rye makes for a nice finish.A more drinkable rye beer but nice subtle flavors makes it enjoyable to drink.
