One of the cleanest beers I've ever had. Crisp and dry. Extremely smooth. I wish they still made this beer.

Crystal clear light golden hue. The head settles into a thin, but tight layer that leaves loose lace. Soft bready grain, light non diacetyl buttery malt w/ a hint of sulfur in aroma, accompanied by an herbal and floral noble hop nose. In flavor, crisp, almost sharp bitterness upfront yields to a combination of lightly honeyish sweetness and musty graininess reminescent of chewing on stale pilsner malt. Subtle sulfur persists from start to finish. The grassy but clean hop flavor helps offset the strong grainy notes, lending a fresher note and increasing the drinkability of this brew. Moderately bodied, w/ a smoother, fuller mouthfeel versus US microbrewed examples. Finishes dry, cleanly bitter and crisp. Although a bit raw in its current form, the pilsner would be outstanding if fresh. There was a hint of "aged Belgian" mustiness to it, yet overall still an enjoyable pilsner. The hop profile helped the drinkability.
