Very small head, carbination is a little high as well. Enjoying this at one of Mad Anthoys pubs.
A- A dark brown/black color.
S- A rich smell but not really strong.
T- definetly malty over hoppy.
M- typical Schwartzbeir taste a bit over carbinated!
D- beside carbination very drinkable

Wow, I must have gotten a really bad one of these compared to the previous reviewers.
When I received my glass, I actually had to ask if they had brought me Coca-Cola. Generic cola black with absolutely no head and no hints that there was ever carbonation.
Metallic maltiness and a strangely adjuncty aroma compose the nose.
The taste is only a touch better, imagine the most boring lager combined with some sort of porter or stout and you've got this really bad beer from Mad Anthony. Calling this a schwarzbier might be somewhat correct in pure definition alone, but this one was sad sappy sucker of a brew.

Poured a nice dak brown color, with a large off white head. Aroma was very pleasant with malt dominant and a hint of hop bitterness. Taste did not live up to the aroma. Very bland, nothing predominant, slight basic malt profile with very mild hop bitterness. Searching for something here and just didn't find it. Mouthfeel was extremely thin, beer was wel carbonated but very "watery."
Can't really reccomend it.

I liked this beer. It had a lot of flavor and no off-flavors.
Poured a dark brown with a full tan head.
Had a complex dark malty and/or coffee smell
The flavor was full, but not overpowering, a full-bodied balance of malt and hops.
In the mouth it felt like beer, rich, but not thick, with a hint of carbonation and a "solid" feel.
Very drinkable, I'd go have another if the tap wasn't 40 miles away.

Draft.Poured a medium sized tan head with fine sized bubbles that was mostly lasting. The body was uncarbonated with a black hue.The nose was mild coffee and the same in the flavor. The mouthfeel was very smooth and light-medium bodied. This beer left an excellent lacing on the sides of my glass.
