A- This is a nice brown colored brew. A nutty muddy brown color. The head isn't there but mad anthony pours there beers all the same. There is lacing though so you know it could've been there

S- Smells like a sweet malty brew. There is a spicy hop aroma.

T- A pretty standard brown ale. The hops and the brown toasted malts balance each other nicely but wait a minute....There is a coffee flavor here. Out of nowhere but it is nice.

M- Medium to light bodied. Carbonation is nice too.

O-Its a nice beer. On as a seasonal rotation. Get you one when you can

Pours a clear coppery brown, topped with a one finger creamy dark tan head, leaves webs of lacing.
Chocolate and caramel aroma, herbs and tea notes.
Chocolate and malty/bready taste, caramel with some herb, tea and earthy notes.
Medium bodied, good all around brown.

Delivered to me in my BIF XII package. Presentation is a standard 12oz bottle.

The beer is a has a really nice appearance for the style. The body of this brew is a translucent, yet deep shade of ruby tinged brown. A head rolls up nicely, but disappointingly disappears into a soapy film rather quickly.

Really nice smell as well, toffee, caramel, light roasty coffee tones as well. It’s sweet and smooth.

Not a bad beer at all. I’m usually a little unimpressed by beers of the style but this one has a nice rich flavor. Really light in the mouth, but not overly carbonated to make it too whispy. Sweet, smooth and malty throughout. I pick up nice roasty, and chocolatey flavors. The middle through the finish peppers your tongue slightly with earthy bitter hops.

A very solid brown ale. One of the best I’ve had so far!

This is a true brown, mostly clear with a decent just barely tan head. The head forms reasonably well but eventually fades completely. The aroma has a big burst of almost-coffee, chocolate and a bit of toasted pecans. The nuttiness switches from a supporting player in the aroma to the dominant taste in a flavor that just doesn’t live up to the promise of the aroma.

This brew poured a very small head of initially large bubbles that soon turned small and quickly disappeared as it left only a fair lacing. It has a carbonated transparent brown body and a very nice malty aroma. The mouthfeel is light but soon transitions into a nice roasted caramel flavor with a mildy tingly mouthfeel. This is not a "BIG" beer by anymeans, but it is still a very nice drinkable brew that I have to give a strong reccommendation to for people thatdon;t care for the big beer bite and who would prefer a smooth flavorful beer. I would buy this brew again.

This beer poured a small tan head with small bubbles that quickly diminished. The lacing was fair and the carbonation was lively. The body was clear and reddish-brown in hue. The aroma was that of coffee. The flavor was sweet and smooth tasting and the mouthfeel was thin and watery. There is not much character with this beer.

Deep clear copper color with a thin layer of foam. Aroma was malty and mildly fruity. Taste was sweet and smooth, with fruit, nuts, and carmel developing in the middle. The finish was very smooth with nice hop bitterness, and a sweet carmel taste on the pallet. Mouthfeel was a little watery, but not bad. Could use a bit more hop bitterness.

I'm not usually a big fan of this style, but this particular brew was pretty good. It was a nice, dark brown color with a head that was basically nonexistent. Its taste was a bit sweet for my liking, but not bad. This was a decent offering from a home state brewery (there aren't a ton in Indiana), but I would probably try something different from Mad Anthony next time.

Deep, dark reddish-brown ale. Doesn't pour to a thick head, yet retention is good. Sweet, roasted, nutty aroma and flavor. A bit light on hops for the style, but still a nicely flavored brew.
