Pretty auburn brew served in a brandy snifter. Smell of hops, alcohol and barley. Delicious well balanced hops and sweet brew. No head, like most barleywines.

Poured from a growler at DLD '10...been meaning to try this.
A- Poured a golden orange with light copper notes to it. One finger white head comes and goes rather quickly. No real lacing..a light streak of it here and there.
S- This smells really good and I was a little surprised by this. Nice hints of tropical hops right from the get go. Light piney hops come in and leave just as fast. Sweet caramel malt body throughout. Smells like a alcoholic Hi-C to be honest.
T- Taste is rather good. Tropical hops come in with a citrus kick to the teeth but die out almost as fast as they came in. Sweet malty body with a light bready flavor in the middle comes to a piney kick in the backend that leaves a light bitter bite to it. Overall, very good tasting.
M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. A little chewy I thought in the mouth. Hop resin left on the palate and on the teeth. Aftertaste was another load of hops with light alcohol notes. Flavors blended together well overall.
D- This was a good drinkable IPA that I enjoyed very much. Mad Anthony has been surprising me with some of their beers as of late and this one is no exception. Good job Mad Anthony keep up the good work.

On tap at Mad Anthony's and served in a shaker. This beer poured a dark amber with a thin head of beige foam. A decent amont of spider web lacing was left around the glass. The aroma was very sweet and citrusy. Same with the flavor, along with a nice caramel and toffee backbone. A tasty DIPA.
