Pours dark brown colour with medium head. Recedes to a thin line. More carbonated than bitter with coffee overtones. Caramel, prunes and malt aroma. Sweet tasting almost cola like. Not a favourite style of mine but it's fine for this time. I find this style is harder to drink as we you go along. But that's me.

A: Pours a dark brown color with a tan colored head that is between soapy and creamy. Retention is surprisingly very good as well as lacing (although volume isn't super big).
S: Pretty faint nose. Biscuit and chocolate malt with some woodsy smoke. Some leather and vanilla.
T: Biscuit and chocolate malts come back again pretty strong. Vanilla is pretty evident too as well as the leather and the smoke. Added sugar (after the fermentation) is quite strong but strangely enough works kind of okay in this one. Quite mild.
M: Medium to medium light body with light carbonation, a tiny bit sticky.
O: This is a decent enough beer. It's nothing special, but it's definitely not bad. Swimming in 7s.

I really enjoyed this beer. It's got a smoky flavor to it that's just so unique to this style. However it's not over powering. There are so many IPA's these days it's nice to have a craft beer that's a bit more fringe. Also fantastic advertising / marketing. The art/beer names based off pin up models is genius.
