Apparently this beer was retired before?
Pours a dark golden with lots of tiny bubbles making up a beautiful, very creamy white head. I thought at first it might have been poured using nitrogen it was so creamy!
Smells of sweet baked apples, honey/mead, brown sugar/caramel. Very nice!
Taste is very, very smooth for 10.5%. Holy sh*t. Sweet baked apples come out, powdered sugar, syrup, caramel with a nice amount of hop character lending a bit of bitterness in the finish.
Very good barleywine, definitely the spotlight of Coddington's beer menu right now.

Smells like a musty gym locker.
Tastes like a leather shoe that has kicked you in the arse.
Lots of fruit, distinct hoppy flavor and alcohol.
Quite nice and worth trying.
My one complaint is that this is served too cold (like it came out of a fridge).

Only served in 10 oz glass. Had a small foamy but nice head. Good clean and clear orange amber hue. Aroma is a distinct fruity and alcohol boquet. The flavors grab your tongue and demand your attention at first with fruity esters and finishing with a nicely balanced hop and alcohol ending.
