On-tap 2/13/08 at the brewpub, served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a medium brown color, with a large beige head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is of dark roasted malts, caramelized and a little fruit with a touch of hops.
T: The taste is very malty with flavors of dark chocolate, roasted coffee and caramel, with a touch of dark fruit. There's a mild but complimentary hops presence. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and very smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean and dry.
D: Very tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, nice representation of style, I found this to be a really good beer to drink for a long time.

A clean dark brown beer with deep ruby highlights. Has a small beige head. A good roasted malt aroma with a hint of chocolate in the background. There is a complimentry roasted malt flavor to go with the aroma and a nice taste of molasses that adds a bit of sweetness at the back of your tongue.
