The best beer I had at Silverton on my honeymoon...
A rich gold hue with just a bit of head, minimal lacing and retention.
Aroma is muted pale malt and bread with a wisp of earthy hops in the way back.
Well balanced, very clean, finishes a bit sweet with a husky/grainy character to the mid palate sweetness and enough bitterness to balance.
Solid medium body with good carbonation.
I almost bought a growler to bring back to share, as it's a fine, drinkable maibock, but not the depth of malt flavor that you'd be looking for in the better iterations of the style.
