I was on the hunt for this for months and finally got one of the last two four packs right at the New Richmond Brewery.
L-Rich, deep copper color...1/2 frothy white head
S-Big bready aroma....lightly spicy...
T-Again a lot of bread and toasted malts...just how I like maibocks....the hops add just a touch of spiciness to balance the finish...
F-Full bodied...rich but what they did nice with this is the touch of spicy hops that adds a bit of dryness on the finish....but just a touch....too many maibocks are too heavy handed with the hops in my opinion. You don't want a cloying mess with all the bready toasty malt so some spicy hops are needed and this really achieves the perfect balance.
O-Love this beer. The hunt was well worth it. One of the best US made maibocks...

This beer pours a clear bronze color. The head is a billowy inch and a half in height, and recedes slowly leaving nice lacing. The aroma is of baking bread, toast, light caramel, hints of green tea, and light toffee. The taste is quite full, and malty...as it should be. There is caramel, dark toast, and toffee. The notes of baking bread from the aroma are not present in the taste, and that is a shame. The mouthfeel is full bodied with a velvety texture. The carbonation is a little too low for the style. Overall, this is a nice Maibock that I would happily drink again.
