This pours an opaque dark yellow/pale amber color, with a scant white head. There is a very slight fruity smell. The taste is complex and terrific. The brewer added orange peel, yet in addition to a citrussy flavor, I tasted hints of banana, tart apple and apricot, along with a finishing hop flavor that complemented rather than overwhelmed the other flavors. The mouthfeel was very nice. This fine ale is quite drinkeable-the moderately high alcohlol content(6.5%)is barely noticeable. This is an interesting blend of a special bitter with a Belgian pale ale. Recommended!
