Served on tap at the brewpub, this pours a clear reddish amber color, with a small white head that quickly fades and leaves a moderate amount of white lacing on the glass. The smell is sweet and malty with only a hint of citrussy hops. The taste, dissappointingly, is the same as the smell. This beer is sweet and malty, with only a hint of cittrussy hop goodness. I was hoping for a better balance between the malt and the hops. The mouthfeel is full and rich. Drinkability is OK. I did not ask if this was newly released. It may require more maturation. I will try it again in a week or so. For now, it's not what I was hoping for.
