Not quite Imperial and a bit more than a standard stout, our Extra Stout showcases large quantities of Roasted Barley malt and English Fuggle Hops. A bit drier and sharper than our Old 8 Porter.

A - Pitch black with the faintest glint of brown at the bottom w hen held to the light. Brown head with spots left on the sides.
S - Sweet cocoa malts and that's pretty much all I get on this one.
T - A sweet, one note stout. Just got a lot of cocoa, not good, not bad.
M - Smooth, with low carbonation.
D - This is a pretty average beer, it's not hard to drink, it's just not a great brew. Not anything I'd ever make an effort to get.

On tap at the brew pub into a pint. "Not quite Imperial and a bit more than a standard stout, our Extra Stout showcases large quantities of Roasted Barley malt and English Fuggle Hops. A bit drier and sharper than our Old 8 Porter - just as dark and just as delicious!"
A light black with only a hint of brown when held to the light. A nice tan head at first, but this fades way to quickly without any lacing...Aroma of sweet malty chocolate and vanilla, its nice and alluring just not enough depth to get me really excited...The taste is roasted chocolate with alcohol, boring and not a ton going on.
Slightly above average stout.
