This beer pours a dark red color. The head is a half inch in height, and recedes quickly into minimal lacing. The aroma is very floral with hibiscus, apple blossoms, and hints of pine resin and grapefruit. This is a very aromatic beer. The taste is quite malty with a soft caramel backbone, and floral hops in the finish. Bitterness is moderate, but lingers. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate fine carbonation, and a velvety texture. Overall, this is one of the better amber/red ales I've had to date. I would certainly drink this beer again.
