Originally reviewed August 4, 2005. On tap at the brewpub. Amazing deep murky appearnace, with a frothy scattered head. Light dusty malt aroma. Smooth caramel malt flav or with a hint of cream. Weird hops that seem almost old or rotten. Mediocre. Really not that impressive. Palate is clingly, yet plain.

Deep brown with scarlet hues...nose is very bready....taste is sweet....fresh baked bread....some sweeter milk chocolate....not bitter but not oversweet....my kind of dark lager....not sure if I classified this correctly as it's more of an American dark lager..very smooth....emphasis is on the malt....quite enjoyable and tasty....nice brew...would drink again if on tap in the future...
