Poured a golden-yellow color with a one-finger, white head of bubbly foam. It smelled yeasty and fruity with a nice caramel sweet aroma. Good spicy and yeasty bite up front. Dried fruit flavor with caramel sweetness.

Had on tap at Burrito Union from a 10 ounce tulip glass.
Looked great, but tasted terrible. I don't know if I got a bad batch or if the beer normally tastes like this, but I cannot believe they had the audacity to keg this and distribute it.
Each sip comes with a fairly nice mild hop flavor followed by a terrible cloyingly sweet, creamed corn dominating taste. The bartender said apples and hay, and I can see what they were going for, but it just didn't happen.
It took me almost an hour to force this swill down my gullet. Would not recommend, would not buy again. Fitgers, please get the DMS issues taken care of before you release this again. How does this slip past quality assurance?
Sorry, but I have never been so offended by a craft beer in my life.

Picked this up at the brewery on 10/31/08. The growler was purged with c02. Its been sitting at 40 degrees since the time of purchase.
Peeled back the plastic and twisted the lid, got a pop and fizz...still carbonated.
Poured from the growler into an oversized snifter, producing a white fizzy cola like head. Receeding to a small white colar with slick spotty thin lace. The color is transparent with a touch of chill haze, a darker golden yellow.
Aroma of sweet biscuits, banana, lots of apple aroma, faint hints of grains and somthing clove like.
Starts out semi-sweet with a sour apple flavor, caramel and grassy hops. Alcahol warming up front. Its pretty fruity with a sweet kick and biteing alcahol flavors, nothing solvent like.
Finishing crisp and clean with fermented apple flavors and cereal grains lingering.
The mouthfeel is a bit thin, but the carbonation adds a touch of full bodied creamyness.
This is quite good. I should have saved it for a warm summer day. I was looking for somthing a bit heavier.

Originally reviewed August 4, 2005. On tap at the brewpub. Nice rich oranged hued golden glow. Thin line of crystal white head. Rich, malty aroma, with strong notes of lemon and bright yeast. Fruity. A hint of mellowing hop sugars in the aroma. Flavor is surprising. A glowing burst of rich and creamy wheat and bread, with lots of thick flavor. Palate has a large chewy component. Spice and some floral from a surprising dose of hops creep in. Amazing stuff. Palate is a little watery in the end, but sustains with a dry fresh bread smack. Deceptive, this beer looks like a plain shitty lager, but possesses a very deep flavor and texture.
