Clear, golden yellow in appearance with a solid, one-finger head of foam. It smelled of pine, citrus and toast. Nice balance of bitterness with sweet caramel and citrus.

The waitress described it as very balanced for an apa. Trust your servers at Fitgers!
Served in a standard pint, the beer is bronze with a thick off-white head. Nice lacing.
Nice aroma of grapefruit and the malts add an almost bagel like smell.
The taste is extremely balanced. Sweet malts and citrus battle to a tie. Grainy at mid-glass but grapefruit based bitterness pops right back.
The mouth is soft with low carbonation and mild astringency.
It is very easy to session. I would love to try it on cask!

Fitger's must lead the pack with the variety of their pale ales....everytime I stop in they have a new version. I'd love to see the diference in hops and malt used on their website.
This is one of my favorite APA's of their...reminds me of the Slacker Pale a little from what I remember..
Very nice juicy leafy hoppy nose....minty in some regards but also tobacco leaves. Also a british style malt backing witha biscuit and toffee aroma.
Very balanced flavor that leans ever so slightly on the malt side...great malt biscuit base complemented by a real flavorful leafy hoppiness.
Very easy drinking....medium to low carbonation....light to medium bodied...finishes with a slight dry note...
Very nice...I'm happy I got a growler of this.

Originally reviewed August 17, 2005. On tap at the brewpub. Copper brown celar pour, tinged orangish. Nice creamy one finger head. Beaming fresh hops aroma. Sugary and hoppy, yet fairly plain. Another in the line of solid, but not too amazing Fitgers Pale Ales. Very drinkable, thats for sure.
