What an intriguing beer. It is classified wrong but I'm not sure how it should be classified. I know it has no wheat in it. Pilsner malt and Sterling hops fermented cool at near lager temps...I know this much it is a very, very tasty brew...reminds me actually of perhaps a malty Kolsch.
It is subtle in feel...delicate but delicious...golden colored...a bready like aroma with some mild spicy noble hop like characteristics...
Body is on the light side of medium...medium carbonation..
The malt is subtle but tasty...bready and complemented with a light spicy (noble hop like) hoppiniess...really a nice blend...finishes dry....can't believe the ABV is as high as it is....quite a drinker....
Not sure what the right style is....the more I drink it I get some strong Dortmunder and Helles characteristics....I guess a Kolsch would seem right....whatever it is it is excellent...
Food can overpower this a little but pretty nice on its own.

On-tap at the Brewpub: Clear straw gold with a small white capping of smooth foam. Tons of lacing sheet the glass with a blanket of frosting.
Aroma is slightly dulled with Sterling hop floweryness mixing with a dry flour breading. Crisp and light to the nose, but welcoming and clean.
Taste is firm and lasting. Wow, a pleasant surprise to the buds as some great flavors ensue and coat the palate with fresh snappy bread tones and a nice lightly placed crispness. The hops are quite unique in the finish with slight tugging of floral sweetness and feathery powdered, whole grain fluff. Yum! Like drinking Cheerios...kinda, I guess.
Feel is within a medium range in body. Crisp, inviting, and tasty as hell. Semi creamy and wheat bread-like the whole way through with nice additions in light sweet floralness and pwodery grain.
Gone in a flash! This stuff is down right yummy.
Note: Not sure of the style, as no one knew what it was suppose to be. No server knew or the barkeep. The only thing they did know that is was not a Pilsner nor a pale ale of any kind. To me the wheat tones stood out enough for me to choose Pale Wheat. But it seems like a Pils crossed with a Cream ale?
