Served in a standard pint, the beer is golden with slight chill haze. It had a smallish white head & decent lacing.
The smell is of subdued smoke layered over fresh grains. Could be a tad bit more assertive.
The taste is a bit bolder with wood smoke backed with a solid lager under frame. The beer is a bit sweet with some grass and very light hoping. The smoke is never overpowering and in some strange way reminds me of the smoked white fish they serve here.
The mouth is crisp and clean. This is an easy drinker that seemed to be a hit with the large crowd. Interesting & tasty beer!
