Reminds me in some ways of the Surlyfest....I think the hops may be similar or the same but both lean heavy on the hops for this style.
A-Looks the part....Rich burnt orange....nice white head that laces...nice clarity.
S-A tantalizing gooey caramel begins the experience and is quickly followed by a tangerine, grapefruit citrus element. My guess is there are some Summit hops being used in this as it has that "feel" to it...very mild garlic/onion notes known to the Summit hops..
T-Leans more toward the hops than the malt...citrus notes of grapefruiit rind and freshly squeezed tangerines. Malt is big on the caramel..no toasted malt evident.
M-Medium bodied....dry finish....
D-Decent enough if you like a hoppy marzen....not your typical marzen...different but decent...
