On tap at the Duluth brew house. Noted at 5.2% ABV.
Cloudy, brown with red tones.
Chocolate malt aroma.
Dark fruit/prune flavors and aromas.
Spicy, and barley wine rich.
Clovey.
A really delicious dunkelweizen. Perhaps better (though different) than Schell's amazing Snowstorm 2011.

Poured from growler into weizen glass.
A: Pours a very dark, grainy & murky brown with 1 inch tan head. With backlighting, a dark amber hue emerges around the edges. Decent retention. Very inviting.
S: Banana, clove, grains, sweet caramel malt, and a hint of chocolate. Good, but not exceptional for style.
T: Follows aroma fairly well. Banana and clove up front. Sweet and smooth caramel malt, honey, fruity esters, and a hint of mild chocolate.
M: Smooth and slick feel. Some sticky sweetness. Light-medium body.
D: A solid offering from Fitger's, but not exceptional for style. More banana, clove, and spice and a little less overt sweetness would serve this brew well. Still, a very enjoyable brew and one of their better non-IPA's.
