Poured from growler into weizen glass.
A: Pours a hazy lemon with moderate carbonation producing a 2 inch bubbly white head. Good retention and decent lacing too. Very nice for style.
S: The fact that this is a hoppier wheat beer is readily apparent here...grainy hops hit the nose first, tart and bitter citrus, hint of clove and spice. Very fresh.
T: A pleasant mash-up of your typical hefeweizen--banana, clove, etc.--and an IPA--sharp and crisp hops. Grains, bitter citrus, and a background black pepper note. Nice balance here.
M: Light body. Sharp, crisp, and fresh. Bitter and slightly tart finish.
D: Extremely drinkable. A wonderful blend of hefeweizen and IPA. A great summer session beer...perfect for picnics. I just picked this growler up when I was at Fitger's over the 4th. I see it is no longer listed on their website as available in growlers...hope it comes back next summer!
