First had at Upland Brewpub, Bloomington, Indiana, on draft into snifter. This fits the definition of a Milk/Sweet Stout, but there is a lot more going on here. Call it a waffles with bacon and coffee breakfast in a glass.

Had on tap at Upland-Bloomington and then from a growler.
Pours jet black with minimal to non existent head.
Smells strongly of syrup and malts, you can smell the sweet in this beer.
Tastes surprisingly very good given how sweet it smelled. Definitely get a sweet syrup-y flavor, but its not overpowering. Works very well especially as the beer warms up a bit.
Beer is not a high abv, especially for a stout, and that comes through in the taste and feel. Its very light.
Overall an enjoyable and more unique offering from upland

Too much maple; throws of the balance.

On tap at the brewpub. Based on the description I was really excited to try this and although I greatly enjoyed I do not feel it lived up to it's billing. The syrup part was absolutely there and by the time I finished my pint I was definitely feeling the sweetness over load. Coffee was mostly absent on the nose and the palette. The lactose gave it a strange mouthfeel that separated it from the rest of the overall taste. I was hoping for something closer to Good Morning but this wasn't it.
