This beer was developed through extensive experimentation by our brewers with different and rare fruits. The aroma is sweet and musky with intense tropical notes of papaya, passion fruit, melon, and ripe pear. They are considered to be the sweetest of all guava varieties yet have a moderate acidity.

Really nice malt backbone behind a sour fruit medley. Not too sour compared to some of their other sour beers. Moderate dryness and acidity.

For the lambic fans on the hunt for the type of sourness that'll make your face stick that way, there's very few breweries that can satisfy that need like Upland Brewing. Their guava infused sour ale will have your is like a good swift kick to the tastebuds.

Its hazy golden hues are a prelude to the exotic tropical fruit within. With billowing rise of foam and a dainty settling, the ale has a racy but hazy liveliness. That's, of course until the nose draws near, and that's when tangy fruit aromas and bold acidity overcomes the senses with a nearly puckering sensation.

As apple cider, dry white wine, lime, a quick jolt of vinegar and unmistakable tropical taste sharpen the taste buds with its acute acidity, a light but juicy sweetness and a mustier tone gradually rise. Its succulent and racy guava taste is distinct and apparent; and not scrubbed away by the vigorous nature of fermentation. Its sweet and sour interplay is acetic even as the character of weathered oak, cork-like must, and elements of sea brine, a similar sweat and general cellar-like conditions stand out as they do in nearly all of the brewery's Lambic-styled ale.

Its expressive carbonation prickles at the tongue, and enlivens the sour taste and mouthfeel even further. Though their ale may be slightly more rounded than the driest lambics on the market, these ales' carbonation and acidity counters nicely into to a relatively dry and tangy guava accented finish.

Had poured from 25.4-oz. corked-and-caged bomber, label stamped Bottle Date “December 2017,” into tulip. With guava lemon rind augmenting the base tartness, the aroma and flavor of this Lambic ale are astonishingly powerful, but the beer is also astonishingly expensive.

On tap. Pours an orangish-golden color with a one finger head that lingers and leaves a quarter inch of lacing on the glass. Nose of tropical fruit and vinegar. Taste is guava, mango, and a level-handed tartness. Light body and medium carbonation.
A tart but not puckering sour that successfully infuses guava without making it unrecognizable. There's not a ton of layers in it, but the ingredients in it are really cared for and technically done damn well.
