On tap at Das Beer Garden. Clear golden. Smells of acidic fruits, white grape, grain. Tastes quite sharp and acidic up front. Earthy tones behind it. A little grain. Very sharp. It's fine.

VERY pale, golden hue; nose is light, unique with a slightly funky sweet hint; flavor is all up front and dissipates very quickly. Very dry on the palate, the hops do have a fruity (as soon as I figure out what I associate, I'll update) sense, but it's so light as to tease what it may be.

Taster at Columbus taproom. Pale golden, soft, spotty head. Sweet, light fruity aroma, soft tropical fruity aroma. Taste is mellow and subtle and this beer us gone before you know it. Silky.

In complete defiance of winter, upland rolls out with an unconventional winter ale. Hoppy with Galaxy and Waimea, a tropical IPA is a welcome reprieve from the malty, they heavy, the roasty and the sweet.
Pale straw with the dimness of goldenrod through the center, Tropical Vortex soon settles with a creamy, cottony froth. Above it all rests a tropical perfume of apricot, mango, pineapple, orange and grapefruit. As an herbal backdrop of grassiness skirts underneath the fruit, the taste then leads with honey and caramel in a soft graham cracker way.
The hops begin to unfold on the middle palate as that tropical punch flavors reveal themselves one by one. An array of fruit trends like bitter sherbet across the tongue. Trending spicy, resinous and bitter, a sharp grassiness comes with freshly shaven pine, muddled herbs and fine grassiness.
Medium bodied and trending dry, the beer's juicy and plump fruitiness goes crisp, spicy and sharp in finish with a long linger of macerated tropical fruit peels and a blend of botanicals.

12oz can stamped BB:FEB 2020 BATCH: 5155 poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp 7% ABV. The beer mostly bright straw yellow with nearly white head. The head recedes to a thin cap and leaves plenty of lacing. The aroma is strong fruit salad with peach and pineapple standing out to me. The taste is nicely bitter & dank throughout with notes of grapefruit, peach. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, very good. This is a nice IPA from Upland. No caramel malt and good use of southern hemisphere hops.
