Vey citrus flavors throughout, decently bitter, don't notice alot of alc. but its for sure up there percentage wise. Color is very appealing. Overall worth a try, def. better to sip on. Not very session able.
Medium bodied

Upland is delivering strong again.

Competing in the 08 GABF pro-am competition, and I think it will do well. Pours a crystal clear amber color with a light orange hue throughout. A light head when arrived there was limited retention though did hide to the side of the glass. Ok lacing.

The nose is well represented with a good citrus and grapefruit aroma. Easy to pick out the Amarillo. A nice malt hop balance. The hops are strong and well represented but not overall green. Some grass notes and a touch of alcohol as well. Some minor grainy notes but mostly sweet malt notes on the back end.

The taste is balance very nicely. The malt comes out initially with some sweetness and a touch of caramel and biscuit notes. But quickly the finishing hops really take over. A big grapefruit flavor with some lemon and orange in the finish. Some minor grassy notes as well. The bittering hops are light but do come out in the finish with a bit of astringency. Clean yeast flavors no real off flavors at all. There is a sudsy finish to it though that is a touch of a deterrent.

The body is moderate but very easy to drink. Overall very easy drinking IIPA with only minor faults, sudsy and astringency. But the drinkability makes up for it. This should do well at GABF, can't wait to try it there as well.

On draft at the brewpub. Had a couple snifters of this while there picking up my lambics.
Pours a nice dark gold in color, with a nice pillowy white head sitting atop. Smell is very funky hops. I'm getting a lot of floral centennial in the nose. Very well balanced and smooth in the flavor. I'm really digging this DIPA. You never get a hint of the 10% abv at any point. Very enjoyable and something I could drink an awful lot of. Well done.

This was a great new beer on draft at Upland this weekend.

Bright orange body, creamy foam, served in a snifter. Good head retention with random lacing here and there. Some orange citrus and grassy herbs in the aroma, later on it was a little woody even.

Punchy citrus, malty middle, moderately bitter and resiny finish. Medium bodied with a creamy texture from the fine carbonation. Not a hint of the abv, but it was definitely a sipper from the get go. Hope they bottle this someday...Cheers to UpCup winner Ken Smith for this beer!
