Look: It pours black with a brown head. The beading in the head is quite tight. Head retention is excellent.
Smell: The peppermint is dominant in the aroma with chocolate and bourbon.
Taste: It has roast and peppermint in the flavor with chocolate. There are some bourbon notes.
Feel: It has a full body with a cooling effect like sucking on a peppermint lifesaver.
Overall, the roast in the finish it a bit sharp and the peppermint is dominant.

On tap. Pretty much undrinkable. Tastes like peppermint schnapps.

Poured into shaker pint. Solid back with a khaki to brown head that eventually goes away to nothing.
Minty nose with some dark chocolate.
Taste is chocolate soda, dark roast. The peppermint is more general minty, as others have said, Andes flavored.
Smooth mouth, hides its abv well.
This could've gone many way. I was concerned it'd be a gimmick beer, so I'm glad I ended up enjoying it.

Black pour with a brown head. Smells like spearmint toothpaste with dark chocolate and bourbon. Tastes like it with some dark cocoa in the background and powerful bourbon booze only amping the mint up more, no balance, just awful and overwhelming. Feel is a hot and minty mess, like the beer tried to cover up it being drunk with mints, yuck. Just not good

12oz can stamped 101820104744 (canned 10/18/20) poured into a snifter at just above fridge temp 11% ABV per label. The beer pours dense black with no light penetration and rusty brown head. The head builds quickly on a hard pour and settles to an irregular ring and small islands. The aroma is a mash up of bourbon, dark chocolate, peppermint and barrel that is mild to moderate in intensity. The taste is bittersweet and follows the nose with peppermint up front and the cocoa, bourbon and oak all fighting to come through as the sip lingers. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a somewhat dry finish. The peppermint manifests itself more sweet like Andes mints rather than hard candy or herb. The 11% ABV is well hidden with only a little warming of the belly to give it away. Overall, good to very good depending on your level of comfort with the peppermint.
