Had on tap at Upland. Review from notes.
A- Pours a semi-hazy reddish brown color. One finger light white almost tannish head that dies down to just a whisp on the top of the beer. Lacing light on the sides of the glass.
S- Big sweet malts on the front of the aroma. Some light darker fruits in the middle of this with some bigger yeasty notes (clove and banana). Light hopping in the tail end. Some alcohol in the very backing of the nose.
T- Taste foloows the aroma very well. Starts with big malts in the front end of this. Clove and banana comes into play now with some light darker fruits. Alcohol comes into play now with some sweet alcohol flavor. The bitter hops end on a crisp note in the backing.
M- Heavy mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Crisp flavors throughout the beer. Light alcohol drying on the palate. Big malts left on the palate and some bitter hops covered in alcohol in the aftertaste.
D- This is a very drinkable beer that I could have a couple glasses of. A very drinkable beer that Upland needs to bottle. I enjoy the direction that they seem to be going in.
