Pours an orangish yellow with ample white head that has good retention. Aroma is sour fruit and oak. Tastes mildly sour, with a fruity tartness and faint mulling spices. Funny enough, tastes exactly like an Upland sour mixed with a Taxman Belgian, because that’s what it is. Light to medium body with a dry finish. Overall it tastes pretty good, but the tripel is a mediocre base for the wood barrel and sour Alchemy of Upland. Still, it is really cool that this collaboration happened and it is fun to try.
