Tried this beer by half-pint at the Cross Keys, a Wetherspoon pub in the City area, London. The name, "East" India Pale Ale, is a bit different from the one reported above, and the strength is 0.1% higher.
In a straight half-pint glass it pours a clear, pale-straw colour, with almost "playful", extremely slowly ascending bubbles... the rimmed white beerhead contains very fine bubbles. The nose has juicy and aromatic fruity hops (like Cascade) at the front, with mild lemony touch to the overall aroma--refreshing and lively. The palate is dominated by grapefruit-zesty flavour, which gradually gives way to a juicy but also dryish, citrusy hoppy taste at the back, while pale-maltiness is kept at a quite low level. With a heathy balance between hoppyness, bitterness and refreshing maltiness, this beer's body is however quite thin. Still, it's a very quaffable and easy-drinking summer session beer to me!
