Also quaffed at the Gasthof Zur Post, though this was poured from a 0.5l bottle.
It has an attractive chestnut-mahogany hue, with cloudiness within. Carbo is solid and plentiful, and the head is a tan, fluffy mass over 1", though it very slowly dissipates to about 1/4". Excellent lacing is present; this is a gorgeous looking bier! Nose was rather on the mild side, exhibiting some hints of clove and chocolate. Too understated, though. Body is a solid medium (a bit better than the Hefe...) but a touch prickly (moreso than the Hefe...).
This bier has a very nice roasty, chocolate aspect, but it's kept light but the wheatiness. More clove jumps in as well. Chocolate/toffee notes linger. Very nice! Just a touch bitter with the dryness.
Prosit!!!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
