A dark ruby chestnut colour with a creamy flat film and decently good lacing.
Smell has rich roasty malty, dried lemon zest, dry oakiness and vanilla. Quite rich and intriguing.
Taste is full roasty malts, caramel dryness, and an earthy leafy citrus, hay barn, a slight sweetness, toffee caramel.
Mouthfeel is a full malty body, moderate body with light lemony bitterness and little carbonation, aftertaste is long and drying. Quite a drinkableand refreshing dark ale.
A well balanced and tasty ale, full malty then drying bitterness. Tasty, and interesting.
