A 500ml bottle with a BB of Sept 2010, so it's a few months out of date. Picked up cheap from my favourite beer specialist. The label describes it as a light beer brewed using lager and ale malts, as well as German hops that impart a clean, crisp flavour.
Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A hazy pale golden colour with very light carbonation. White head of foam that subsides quite quickly. The aroma is incredible - a huge hit of aromatic hops with loads of citrus, underpinned by hints of light malt.
Taste is crisp and sharp; light malt with a bucketful of aromatic hops. Stacks of floral and citrus notes. Mild bitter finish. Mouthfeel is tingly, with a peppery astringent character. Leaves an aftertaste of aromatic hops.
Wow - truly superb. Light body but massive flavour - I love the hops. The low alcohol content means I could probably drink this all day; I might just try it (starting Monday). A must try if you find it near you.
