Acquired a bottle of unspecified age this summer. Dusky, chestnut honey sort of color with chunky sediment and just some butercream-colored lace around the rim. Whoa, very atypical aroma, with raspberry and strawberry scents as well as coriander and licorice. The flavor was again very unexpected, sour like a Flemish red and again red fruits and anise. Rather tannic-feelling but chewy. I don't know what to make of it, to be honest.

This beer poured a deep mahogany, mostly clear with light carbonation. The pour left the beer with a nice, fleeting head.

The bouquet was maltly, slightly foral with a touch of chocolate. On the first sip, there was a spicy bite with balanced malt. As the beer went down, there was this fleeting dash of sour on the back of the palate.

Excellent, big mouthfeel, warming and tasty!! Very drinkable. Not just another session brew.

If you can find this beer, you will enjoy it! I wish I had more.

Friend of mine brought this back from his trip to Belgium, he never heard of this Brewery, and neither have I.

Appearance: Somewhere between dark cherrywood and sceptic tank brown (I suppose the former wins over the latter), it poured out with a huge head but quickly faded away, leaving but traces of lace on my glass.

Smell: A very caramel, cola like nose, minus the carbonation, and some interesting pruny, dark fruit aromas.

Taste: Weird-o. My first sip was taken and somebody at the tasting beat me to the punch: the acidity was like tomato paste! It had a hefty amount of residual sugars that helps give this Beer a little more body, but the prunish, sultana flavors got a little cloying near the end. A strange experiment indeed!

No freshness date. Nice white head and a pale golden beercolor make it into a good presentation. Nose is very fruity and hoppy and well balanced with maltiness and alcohol. Lots of citrussy in the nose aswel as a bit of a candynote though not listed. Very fine and green hopiness that must bring alot of this fruity arome in also. Taste is strong, medium sweet, litle sour, full maltbodied and with a clean bitter aftertaste. Spiced and litle phenoolic but yeastwise. Yes this is a good tasting brew with fine quiet high carbonisation making mouthfeel good and plesant also. An enjoyment to taste at the end of a wonderfull evening and dream away on in thoughts about the wonderfull world of beer.
