Beer bottle (33 cl.) purchased from Le Souffleur de bières, and tasted in 2012.
Appearance : amber color, with white foam head (not persistent).
Smell : roasted and smoked malt aromas.
Taste & mouthfeel : caramel flavors, with dry bitter finish.
Drinkability : an average beer in the style smoked beer.

Bottle at L'autre Oeil in Aylmer. Funky sweet smokey smell. Mid yellow coloured body, with some bubbly head and lacy. Wild yeast character, significantly smokey, but not for everyone. OK, a smoked from Belgian. Some interet, but not very drinkable. Average mouthfeel.

It has a dark amber color, with an average beige head.
The smell is a resolute maltiness, with ripe fruit, maybe too much fruity (melon).
And maybe, some not too pleasant cheese notes.
Even the taste it is not so good: beside the melon and ripe fruit, sweetish notes of malt, and maybe some tart notes.

Poured a big fluffy head that reduced quickly, remaining a thin layer for a while. Muddy deep brown color with slight ruby tint.
Smell is hickory smoke, spices, perfumes, cherries, tobacco...all kinds of wild stuff.
A candy-like sweetness comes through at the beginning of the sip, with mildly smoked flavors coming next. Reminds me of lightly smoked dried apples, with lots of strong malt carrying the sweetness and a sort of perfume-y spiciness all around. As with most Millevertus stuff, a really unusual and largely satisfying beer.
The mouthfeel is an excellent balance of bubbly zing and velvety smoothness. I wanted to hold it in the mouth forever.
An interesting and tasty beer, quite complex. Maybe not something I would crave daily, but it's definitely a delicious (and obscure) treat.

No freshness date. Nose is lots of blue cheese, peaches, spicey, candy sugar, litle bretty and a soft sour note. Overal good and intresting. Taste is dry and spicy, alcoholic, cherry, dark candy and bitter. Complex and certainly something else as all beers of millevertus are. Good carbonisation and complete taste makes mouthfeel good but really something else. Drinkability is ok for me and recomend it to anybody but am shure there's people not apreciating this one.

"dark amber"
brown and red cloudy pour.. glowing. high-density with a tight but thin head, some carbonation escapes to the surface creating those well-known belgian swirlies in the cream-top. great spicy hop note leads off, followed by a mellow malt nuttiness. slightly sour reminiscent of brett, but barely so, creating a tart berry aspect to the beer. underripe raspberry. flavor is light and bitter with a cellar like mustiness and super-fresh botanicals. very light for a dark ale and one of the 'new wave' greener belgians. something unexpected, slightly experimental.. refreshing treat overall. would probably improve greatly on tap. kind of like a petite chouffe.
