Day 20 of the beer advent calendar.
The best of the box, and I doubt it will be beaten.
Loads of malt flavor with an alcohol boost, low head and carbonation, but with excellent hop balance without becoming bitter or hop-flavored. Delicious stuff, and I want to try more from their line-up now.

De cervezasespeciales. En copa Grimbergen. Jugando a Oozi Earth Adventure y Shanrae's Half Genie Hero. Con caña de lomo Don Benito. Mucha naranja confitada, sin el especiado tipico del estilo y con una buena dosis de amargor que invita a beber mas

All around tripel here. Classic complexion with spices, malts, yeast and booze. The taste and smell have the classic spicier triple flavors, but the yeast doesn't allow for a lot of depth. Still classic tasting, nice for sipping on the square

I enjoyed this at Delerium Cafe in Brussels, served chilled in a goblet
The color is semi-dark amber with light haze the smell has a slight phenolic yeast aroma with mild herbal hop scent. The feel is semi-sweet and slight spiced with moderate carbonation with mild alcohol and semi-sweet finish.
The taste is a good mix of yeast spice with s a slight malt sweetness with perhaps some candy sugar augmenting the gently herbal hops with moderate alcohol in the taste. I consider this a pretty decent Tripel, not exceptional but okay for the style

33cl Bottle at 'De Bierboom' in Brugge on 17 Dec 2012.
Cloudy old gold pour, with a beige foaming head.
The nose and taste were both hoppy and yeasty in nature with sweet caramel coming later.
Mild citrus hop feel, more floral maybe: the malts however overpower the more subtle hops and this comes across as a semi-sweet tasting brew in the end.
