Appearance: clear, bright golden color, slim white head.
Aroma: bright, vibrant and fruity, some stone fruits, like apricot and peach, a little citrus, more smooth than bitter. Some hops are here, but on a very mellow scale.
Taste: On first sip, there a bitter hoppy bite, then a fruity flush. Sip it again, there's a return of the hoppy smack, then brisk carbonation, next come the apples. The come in with more tart on the third, until that's all I'm tasting. By the fourth gulp, we're in Cidertown, my friend. The hop bitterness and the apple-y tartness go hand in hand. Body is medium-low, leaving the main ingredients to do all the talking. Tart apple flavor is turning a degree sour, subsuming the parts of the ale. It finishes crisp, dry, and refreshing, a unique and intriguing drink.
I'll finish this, and I will enjoy it, but it's not the sort of thing I'd ever choose over an IPA, a stout, or a Belgian single. Sorry, appleheads, not gonna happen.

On tap at the TH Tap, tulip
strange mashup. Somewhere in between an ipa and a cider. Interesting, you've got to give them that, but the fresh hops don't pack enough of a wallop, I find the apple and the sour kind of distracting and (a little) discordant. All in all, this is interesting, but they have too many other good beers....I wish I had gone for a different one.

64 oz. growler bought from the brewpub with a best by date of October 31, 2014. Poured into a Town Hall Chalice glass.
Appearance: Pours a bright copper golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. About one finger of white head that settles into a thin patch.
Smell: A very juicy and earthy hop forward aroma with good hints of citrus fruits and apples. Upfront citrus hops with big juicy hints of oranges, grapefruit, mango, lemon zest, pineapple, passion fruit, and melon. Some floral and earthy hops with hints of grass and a little pine. Big scent of fresh apple juice blends with the citrus. Soft pale malt backing with hints of grains, cracker, and yeast. A very solid smell.
Taste: Like the smell hints at, a very juicy, earthy, and sweet hop forward taste with big notes of citrus fruit and apples. Big presence of citrus hops with upfront notes of grapefruit, orange peel, mango, pineapple, lemon zest, passion fruit, and melon. Also some floral and earthy hops with notes of wet grass and pine. Big taste of sweet apple juice throughout. Background notes of pale malt with some cracker, grains, and yeast. A very interesting and good taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Very juicy, sweet, and somewhat chewy. Goes down smooth.
Overall: A very good and unique twist on a Fresh Hop IPA. Big taste of citrus fruits with an equally big presence of apple juice. Much sweeter than usual for an IPA due to the apple juice but it works well for me.
