On Tap at MTHB, Pours a rusty brown color with an off white head , streaks of lacing coat the glass. Smell is mellow bourbon with white fruit spice vanilla and yeast. Taste has more dark fruit with a pronounced BA presence, the barrel is superb in this with a plethora of candied fruits and spice. mouth feel is sweet with bourbon, fruit and yeast abv well hidden. This quad is bourbon forward for sure but not harsh it mellow and very good.

An aromatic quad with lots of barrel character. The Belgian quad notes are all here but are in the shadows compared to the wine and bourbon qualities imparted on this beer. It's a sipper.

On tap at the brewpub. 5 oz. serving as part of a flight.
Appearance: Color is a deep brownish copper. Not much of any head. Moderate bubbles.
Smell: A nicely boozy and complex aroma of bourbon, red wine, and dark fruit. Big barrel presence with a scent of bourbon whiskey, vanilla, oak, and wood. Good scent of red wine grapes and tannins. Belgian yeast with some clove and pepper. Fruit scent of raisin, apple, banana, fig, prune, and dates. Toasted malt with some hints of biscuit and chocolate. A really good smell.
Taste: Like it smells, a complex and boozy taste of bourbon, red wine, and dark fruit. Upfront barrel presence with red wine notes of grapes and tannins along with bourbon notes of vanilla, oak, and wood. Belgian yeast with notes of clove and pepper. Lots of fruit with notes of banana, apple, pear, raisin, fig, dates, and prune. Malt notes of biscuit, toast, and slight chocolate. A really good taste.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Fairly slick and chewy. Moderate alcohol heat.
Overall: A very good take on a barrel aged Quad. Nice complex mix of bourbon, wine, and dark fruit flavor.

No head. Copper bronze color.
Very complex quad. Wine, oak, bourbon, vanilla and spices up front. Grapes and tannins. Very fruity. Dried red apple skins. Belgian yeast.
Very complex. The wine shows a bit more than the bourbon, but the bourbon provides some heat.
